A Tornado Watch is in effect for portions of southern and central Kansas until 11:00 PM CDT. THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
Significant severe storms are expected within the watch area (southern and central Kansas) through the evening with the potential for giant hail up to 4 inches in diameter, damaging winds up to 70 mph, and a few tornadoes — some of which could be strong.
Another Tornado Watch is in effect for northeast Kansas until 10:00 PM CDT. Storms in this watch area will be capable of very large hail to 3 inches in diameter, damaging winds to 65 mph, and a few tornadoes.
