More storms are on the way for parts of Kansas heading into the end of the week.
Our unsettled weather pattern will be continuing through the remainder of the week with a chance for strong to severe thunderstorms for some in Kansas on Thursday.
On Thursday, we expect to see increasing chances for storm development during the afternoon across parts of eastern Colorado and southwest Nebraska. Leading into Thursday evening and Thursday night, these storms will eventually form into one or two large lines/clusters and push across much of western, central, and southern portions of Kansas.
The primary risk with these storms will be large hail and damaging winds. The tornado risk will be low and as the evening progresses will decrease further along with the large hail threat as storms form into more of a line. As storms continue to push across Kansas from northwest to southeast through Thursday night we will be more concerned with heavy rainfall, damaging winds and some hail.
We’ll continue to see chances for rain and thunderstorms through Friday and into the weekend. Stick with Cirrus Weather for continuing updates!
