Cirrus Weather was originally started on October 1st, 2010 as “Winter Forecast Center” before quickly being renamed to “The Kansas Area Weather Center” about a month later. In March 2011 Cirrus Weather came about and in May 2011 everything switched over to just Cirrus Weather. Lead Forecaster, founder, and owner Brooks (Hays, KS) ran Cirrus Weather all on his own from the beginning until Spring 2012. Now we have a growing team of forecasters and weather enthusiasts providing you with some of the best weather info around! Through the years our coverage area has ranged from the whole nation, to the Central Plains, to just Kansas and surrounding states, and now we just focus on Kansas for the better interest for the majority of our viewers. We are the #1 Source for Kansas Weather from a page of our type, and we are the largest page of our type in all of the Central United States! Through the years we have made many connections with partners and affiliates, including the well-known Foot’s Forecast based in Maryland.
